Mingalaba, when you have lived in a lovely university campus until, at the time, you were part of your university, and could feel everyday the fragrance of it in to the texture of your being. There is a university campus life, not in research only, but in thought, conduct, character, and manner of existing, which never forsakes a man and you will also see that our university vision. My specific goals are to attract outstanding students from diverse background and to address specific problems confronted by the nation and the world.

The university's predominantly residential undergraduate program provides liberal education in a stimulating academic environment enhanced by talented and diverse student body. Effective teaching imparts knowledge and encourages the intellectual development of both student and teacher and research program is a source of the knowledge and understanding needed for a better society. Teaching and research are all integral parts of the mission of EYU.

    DAAD Foundation leading six universities from Germany and responsible persons from international affairs met with the rector, the pro- rectors and the heads of the departments at the library of East Yangon University at 10:00am on 3.12.2018. They discussed the chances for students and teachers to do research.

    1. On 5th November, 2018: Rector of East Yangon University Prof. Dr Kyaw Kyaw Khaung received Mr. John Nielsen, Ambassador of Denmark to Myanmar and discussed the Establishment of University Human Rights Education at EYU. Ambassador Nielsen met with staffs and students of the Law Department and also paid a visit to EYU Legal Information Centre, where law students provide information and advice on legal issues to people seeking legal assistance, and then to EYU Human Rights Resource Centre, where sharing Human Rights knowledge to all EYU students.

    Collaborations with Chinese Universities

    This is the second time it's happened."Substantial Scientific Collaboration on Ocean and Earth Sciences" among Guangzhou Marine Geological Survey (China),Tongji University (China), South China Sea Institute of Oceanology, Xi'An Shiyou Univerdity NOA (China) and East Yangon Univetsity(Department of Geology) was held from 9:00am to 4:00pm at Diamon Jubliee Hall,Chancellor Road, Yangon, Myanmar on 1-2 November, 2018.
