Department of Law

The Department of Law at East Yangon University was established on 1st June 2000. It has two kinds of courses, which are day courses and Distance Education Programme from first year to fifth year. Distance Education Programme was undertaken by the Department of Law, East Yangon University as a branch Department of Yangon University of Distance Education. Since the 2005-2006 academic year, the Legum Magister (LLM) courses have been learned. In the 2019-2020 academic year, in accordance with the directive to implement the “One Campus, Two System” approach, all matters related to the Distance Education Programme have been managed by the Department of Law, East Yangon University. Currently, it offers Legum Baccalaureus (LLB), Bachelor of Laws BA(Law) and Master of Laws/ Legum Magister (LLM) Degrees for Day courses and BA(Law) Degree for Distance Education Programme.
