Founded as a college in 1999 and upgraded to an arts and sciences institution in 2000, East Yangon University (EYU) stands proudly in Thanlyin, in the southeastern suburbs of Yangon. Since its establishment, EYU has strived to provide accessible and quality education to young people, empowering them to contribute meaningfully to society. It has steadily grown into one of Myanmar’s leading public institutions of higher learning and stands as a center of higher learning. With an enrollment of over ten thousand students, it plays a vital role in shaping the future of our nation by offering accessible and quality higher education. EYU is dedicated to nurturing knowledge, wisdom, and integrity among our students.
